“It took us by complete surprise and was a clear winner from the first watch!”

Rory McLean “The Fire” directed by Paula Pyciarz will remind audiences what makes a memorable and stand out music video. It took us by complete surprise and was a clear winner from the first watch!

The striking visuals, lighting and set dressing is notable as they compliment the superb track from Rory Mclean perfectly. From the first 5 seconds, you know you’re in for a treat and it doesn’t disappoint. Director Paula Pyciarz has a clear vision which only becomes more thought provoking throughout the video. The high production quality and bold lighting demonstrates an incredibly creative and artistic awareness of filmmaking which isn’t used for the sake of it. They not only elevate the video but create a compelling atmosphere which resonates the more you watch it. This was a well thought out and artistically impacting music video that not just anyone could accomplish.

Rory McLean stars in the video himself and delivers an excellent performance to compliment to powerful visuals. He looks the part and demonstrates pure confidence on-screen. Alongside him is Jack Potter in the role of the ‘Boy’ who also makes an excellent performance. He was perfectly cast and is used well throughout the video. He gives a real sense of childhood innocence and wonder which is brilliantly contrasted by Rory McLean.

What’s also worth noting is the track itself which is superb in itself and deserved a video of this calibre to accompany it. It’s refreshing to see such a powerful and expertly made music video which builds the track and visually expresses the meaning of the song enough for you to want to hear from from the artist. We’re proud to give this music video 5 stars.
