“If you like horror films then look no further, ‘Frequency’ will have you on the edge of your seat.”

A routine evening of a young babysitter turns into a real nightmare when the AI system supervising the house begins to receive the secret commands of someone, or something, who is clearly dissatisfied with her presence in this house.

Mystery, shock and suspense is what you’ll find from director Aleksander Szeser’ ‘Frequency’. This is a horror that takes many of the traditional techniques found in the most well known films and adds a Sci-Fi element to give it it’s own creepy vibe.

The story of an A.I gone made has been done before, but the horror element of the story adds a supernatural quality to the film to give the story more room to expand on. The design of ‘Aurelia’ is done well and very effective. Having the camera moving adds a character to the device which makes it all the more chilling.

The location is stunning and is a filmmakers dream space to work in. The expanse of the house gives our hero ‘Roxana’ an uncomfortable setting which feels eerie and disturbing. The lighting and cinematography makes full use of the space and uses some really stunning setups to create a high quality looks.

Lead actress ‘Natalia Naumowicz’ manages to hold her own which is impressive considering she only has an inanimate prop and a mobile phone to work with. She fits the genre well and you can’t help but root for her to make it out of the house!

This is a great example of a self contained film which is filmed in one location. You don’t notice it at all as you’re totally engrossed in the story and waiting for it to be over (in the best way possible).

If you like horror films then look no further, ‘Frequency’ will have you on the edge of your seat…
