“If you have a chance to see this film, you won’t be disappointed. ”

Daniel and Mary are a twenty-something couple with their lives stuck on pause… that is until two very familiar-looking visitors from the future come to hit fast-forward.

Directors Tim Bunn and Joseph Patrick craft a well thought out and hilarious comedy with a powerful message behind it, making ‘You from the Future’ a must watch for audiences of all kinds! We expect the story originated from a random chat about what you’d tell your past self if you could. It’s a story many think about but few try to attempt.

The cast shine in this short film about a couple not being able to take the next step, and their future selves kick them into high gear.

The concept of the story is great and would be a challenge to make in the wrong hands, but both directors show great care and attention to detail with making this memorable comedy. It’s surprising to see actors Kerry Godliman and Martin Trenaman in a short film but it’s obvious they enjoyed themselves making it. Both Jack Howard and Molly Jackson-Shaw take on their roles with complete ease and give relaxed and genuine performances to suit the tone of the film.

The production quality of the film is superb, from the location, props, costumes and lighting everything works and works well. It’s obvious that the crew on this film are experienced and very talented. The score and choice of music really helps to create an upbeat and positive tone through whilst keeping the production quality high.

The minor yet effective visual effects are done well. Although subtle, these were essential to get right to create the illusion of time travel from the future characters. It’s also done in a way to add more humour to the story and is enjoyable to watch!

If you have a chance to see this film, you won’t be disappointed. It’s an upbeat and endearing comedy which takes an element of Sci-Fi to create a great short film! Must watch…
